About
As VP/Development at my place of employment, The Karcher Group in Canton, Ohio, I have many responsibilities and roles. Big title aside, I like to consider myself a mere web developer.
On a daily basis I direct projects, handle some graphic design, site architecture/wireframing and code (I hope to be programming by 2010 – and maybe change my name to H.A.L.). My approach is to do all the above under the umbrella ideas of maintaining semantic CSS styled markup, accessibility, usability and natural search engine indexing.
When not at work, my life revolves around:
- Being inspired by my wife Jen, daughter Tess, brand new son Tate and dog Kota.
- Remodeling my home (still)
- Most anything art-related
- The outdoors – traveling, camping, snowboarding

- Love cheesecake
- I’m seeing the re-birth of my childhood nickname – Jimi John
- I’m generally shoeless around the office
- At night, I dreams of visiting New Zealand
Of course, I’ve been with The Karcher Group for about 9 years now, so I’ve had some practice at building some Websites.
